Big plays burned Milton High in a 28-13 loss to Stoughton to conclude the Badger South football season Friday night.


Milton finished the season 1-5 in the Badger South and 3-6 overall. Stoughton finished 2-4 and 4-5.


Connor Kowalkowski’s 84-yard touchdown kickoff return and a 65-yard touchdown pass from Tony Volk to Max Fuller keyed the Vikings’ victory.


Stoughton took a 14-0 lead, but Ian Johnson’s 11-yard TD run cut Milton’s deficit to 14-6 in the second quarter. Kowalkowski’s kickoff return gave Stoughton a 21-6 halftime lead.


Johnson scored on a five-yard to Milton within 27-13, but Fuller and Volk combined for the dagger.

It’s Monona Grove’s third straight unbeaten regular season.
