What it is: An 8,563-square-foot, multi-tenant retail center at 2121 Milton Ave., Janesville.

The location has in the past been the site of Mr. Steak, Roherty's Restaurant and, more recently, The Bistro. That building was demolished in August.

Owners of two East Milwaukee Street businesses—TLLA Insurance and Chinese carryout restaurant Panda Garden—partnered to build the new retail center.

Tuen Chan and Phay Shu plan to relocate their businesses there.

What's the progress: The building's name is 2121 Milton Avenue Properties and will house six tenants. The wood-framed building will have a brick veneer.

Chan could not be reached to say whether he will close the Milwaukee Street Panda Garden location or whether the new Milton Avenue restaurant will be his second location.

Completion date: The men hope to have the building open by the end of the year.
