Big Foot High’s football team made sure there was no doubt it would be a record-tying night Friday night.


The Chiefs ran off to a 55-7 halftime lead en route to a 61-13 victory over visiting Orfordville Parkview. The win was Big Foot’s 34th straight Rock Valley Conference victory, tying the mark shared by Beloit Turner (1984-89) and Brodhead/Juda (1996-2001).


Big Foot (7-0 overall, 5-0 in Rock Valley South) can break the record with a victory next Friday at East Troy.


Kenneth Walker led the Big Foot surge against the Vikings. Walker gained 183 yards rushing on just six carries, including first-quarter scoring runs of 51 and 35 yards.


Walker also caught a 32-yard scoring pass from Jake Wedig in the second quarter. Wedig went 7-of-9 passing for 112 yards. Wedig also hit Gus Wedig with a six-yard scoring pass, and scored on a 3-yard run.


Mason Dixon added 137 yards on nine carries, including touchdown runs of 22 and 52 yards.


Parkview (3-4, 2-3) scored on a 90-yard fumble return by Brenden Neal and a six-yard pass from Trevor Aasen to Ryan Triplett.

n Brodhead/Juda 35, Palmyra-Eagle 12—Brodhead/Juda used a balance attack that added up to 305 yards to dominate Palmyra-Eagle and stay a game behind Walworth Big Foot in the Rock Valley South.


The victory also lifted the Cardinals to their 20th straight WIAA playoff berth since 1992, which is a state record. Brodhead/Juda improved to 4-1 in the Rock South and 5-2 overall. Palmyra-Eagle fell to 2-3 and 3-4.


Jesse DeLorme had 15 carries and gained 76 yards, scoring on TD runs of one and eight yards for Brodhead/Juda.

Senior quarter Aaron Roth threw touchdown passes to Jalen McMartin, Andrew Finnegan and Nathan McConnell and finished with 128 yards passing.


Isaiah Peguero led the Trojans (0-5, 1-6) with 107 yards rushing on 24 carries.

n Edgerton 14, McFarland 6—Collin Gregory scored on a 9-yard run and added the two-point conversion on a run with 8:05 left in the game, and Edgerton hung on for a Rock North victory over McFarland.


It was the first time Edgerton has defeated McFarland (3-4, 2-3), a three-time defending champion in the Rock North.


Gregory’s scoring run capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive that used up 4:45.


Edgerton (3-4, 2-3) fell behind 6-0, but tied the score on Gregory’s 62-yard pass to Tyler Oren. Oren finished with six catches for 99 yards, while Lucas Gregory had five catches for 104 yards.


Collin Gregory completed 16 of 26 passes for 228 yards.

The Eagles, No. 6 in AP medium-sized-school state ratings, soared to 7-0 for the season and 5-0 in the conference.


Nate Keller scored on runs of 2, 1 and 64 yards and finished with 161 yards on 16 carries to lead Jefferson, which is bidding for a third straight championship.


Zack Peachey caught an 80-yard touchdown pass from Dustin Moldenhauer and finished with two catches for 110 yards.


Dan Walczak paced the Blue Devils (3-4, 1-4) with eight receptions for 143 yards, including a 27-yard scoring catch from Ryan Cashore.

n East Troy 40, Whitewater 21—East Troy’s D.J. Sweet and Myles Olsen rushed for five touchdowns as the Trojans came from behind to defeat visiting Whitewater in the Rock Valley North.


The win lifted East Troy to 4-1 in the conference and 6-1 overall, clinching the Trojans’ first WIAA playoff berth since 2002.


Sweet rushed 19 times for 193 yards and three touchdowns.


Bryan Edwards led Whitewater (2-5, 2-3) with 92 yards rushing. He scored the first touchdown on a 3-yard run, and teammate Dakota Walter scored on a 20-yard fumble return as the Whippets took a 14-0 lead.
