Beloit men, women fall on road

The Beloit College men’s basketball team is still looking for its first win of the season.


Travis Clark scored 24 points and hauled down 12 rebounds to lead host Lake Forest College to a 79-64 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday in a Midwest Conference opener.


Beloit (0-4, 0-1) trailed by four at half, but Lake Forest


(3-1, 1-0) went on a 10-0 run to start the second half.


Orfordville Parkview graduate Michael Horton led Beloit with 11 points. The Buccaneers misfired on 16 of 20 three-point shots.
