Beloit falls on road at Wheaton

— Beloit College trailed 47-24 at the half en route to an 81-44 loss to Wheaton College in nonconference men’s basketball Friday.

The visiting Buccaneers were outrebounded, 44-23, in losing the first round of the Lee Pfund Classic.


Michael Horton, an Orfordville Parkview graduate, scored 10 points and was the lone Buccaneer to reach double figures. Travis Towns, an Edgerton High grad, had five rebounds to lead Beloit.
