Whitewater Warhawks open title defense at home

— Two-time defending national champion and top-ranked UW-Whitewater will host Albion College on Saturday in the opening round of the NCAA Division III football playoffs. Kickoff is set for noon at Perkins Stadium.

Whitewater (10-0) is the top seed in the East bracket, and will play an Albion (6-4) team that won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The Warhawks have won 40 straight games and will be making their 10th postseason appearance.


Mount Union (Ohio) is the top seed in the West bracket. Whitewater and Mount Union have played in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl the last six seasons.
