Pijus Rulevicius and Brock Kautz helped make the Janesville Jets’ weekend trio of games against St. Louis a success.

Rulevicius scored two goals and Kautz made 25 saves to lead the Jets to a 4-0 victory over the visiting Bandits in a North America Hockey League game Sunday afternoon at the Janesville Ice Arena.

After losing to the Bandits in the opener Friday night, Janesville trailed St. Louis by four points in the Midwest Division. But wins Saturday night and Sunday pulled the Jets into a tie for the top spot. Each team has 25 points, but Janesville has played two less games.

Rulevicius scored on a power play 13:14 into the second period to open the scoring. Jake Horton added a goal just six seconds before the period ended to put Janesville up 2-0.

Rulevicius scored just 35 seconds into the third period on another power play, before Connor McBride finished off the scoring with a goal at the 14:52 mark.

Kautz, who earned an assist on Horton’s goal, made 25 saves for the shutout.
