Janesville lacrosse club falls

— Sun Prairie controlled the third quarter, ourtscoring the Janesville Lacrosse Club 4-0 on the way to an 8-5 victory at Optimist Park on Tuesday.

The Bluebirds trailed at the half, 4-3, on two goals by Jordan Gould and a goal from Trent Krueger.

But the Cardinals kept the the Bluebirds off the board in the third, while scoring four times—including two in the final minute of the quarter.

Fourth-quarter goals from Janesville’s Nick Krueger and Jordan Dean closed out the scoring.

Janesville goalie Ryan Johnson had 13 saves. Mitch Miller and Dean each had assists for Janesville.

The Sun Prairie junior varsity defeated the Janesville JV, 8-2.

Janesville (4-9) wraps up the regular season by traveling to Fitchburg’s McGaw Park on Thursday for a 5 p.m. game against the Westside Regents.
