— A Beloit woman was arrested on several charges Sunday after a rollover crash south of Janesville that sent her and two others to area hospitals.

Maria Candelaria Victoria Zamora, 27, Beloit, was arrested on charges of causing injury by drunken driving, causing injury by reckless driving and causing injury by driving without a license.

Zamora was cited for nonregistration, open intoxicants, no insurance and a not wearing a seatbelt, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

Zamora was driving south on Highway 51 when the minivan swerved across four lanes before leaving the road near West Enterprise Drive and rolling over at least twice, ejecting Zamora and rear passenger, Raul Ibarra, 24, Beloit.

Zamora was flown by helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital, where her condition was upgraded from critical to serious Monday.

Ibarra was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, where he was treated and released. He was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.

A third person was pinned in the van. The sheriff’s office identified her Monday as Maria Del Rosario Charma Cristo, 45, Beloit. She was reportedly taken to Mercy with serious injuries and was in stable condition Sunday night. Mercy could find no listing for her Monday night.

The crash remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors, according to the release.

The crash closed Highway 51 for more than four hours Sunday.
