— The Milton Junction Pub Raptors suffered their first loss of the season to five-time Rock River South Division champion Clyman, 8-3, Sunday.

“It was a big game for us. (Clyman) won the league the last five years,” Raptors coach Doug Welch said. “We fell flat in the first (inning) and couldn’t get going.’’

Clyman scored four runs on four hits and walk off Milton starter Joe Shear for a

4-0 lead.

“They didn’t drive it anywhere,” Welch said. “They just got timely hits.’’

Zach Bayreuther of Janesville had three of the Raptors’ four hits, including a double.
