— Senior forward Chelsea Sheedy scored a hat trick Friday night to lead Janesville Craig High School’s girls soccer team to a 4-1 nonconference victory over Lake Mills.

Sheedy scored the first two goals and the final goal for the Cougars (10-9).

Randi Sheetz had Craig’s other goal, which gave the Cougars a 3-0 halftime lead.

“Very solid all the way across,” said Craig coach Bill McCabe. “Sheedy worked really hard for all of her goals, and our defense was stellar.”

McCabe also praised the play of Sam Glowacki and Ashley Overley in the middle, and he said goalkeeper, Amanda Hamilton, made an excellent save late in the game.
