— A Janesville man was treated and released Monday night from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center after he was stabbed 10 times by a woman he has children with.

Police responded at 10:52 p.m. Monday to a single-family home in the 2300 block of Conway Drive after the 27-year-old victim called for help, said Sgt. Dean Sukus.

Police found the victim had 10 lacerations from a kitchen knife to his arms, hands and upper torso, Sukus said.

Although the suspect, Ameenah W. Williams, 27, left the residence before police arrived, she was found in her vehicle leaving the area.

Williams was arrested on charges of first-degree reckless injury and a probation hold. She remains in custody at the Rock County Jail.
