— Edgerton High senior Brent Samuelsen and Whitewater senior Kim Stonewerth repeated as Rock Valley pole vault champions here Monday to complete the storm-delayed conference track and field meet.

All other events took place Saturday at Beloit Memorial High School in a meet that was hosted by Turner.

The completion of the pole vault changed the team scores but not the champions. Whitewater took the boys title with 136.5 points, and McFarland won the girls championship with 136.33.

Samuelsen reached 14 feet in easily winning the boys pole vault. He narrowly missed on an attempt at 14-6, which would have matched his season high and tied the conference record.

Stonewerth set the girls conference record with 11-foot vault, which put her far above 9-6 that won for her in last year’s Rock Valley meet.
