Gonzales leads Beloit Snappers’ attack

— The Beloit Snappers busted out in a big way Thursday night.

Michael Gonzales had four hits to lead a 16-hit attack for the Snappers as they coasted to a 10-3 Midwest League over the Kane County Cougars.


Beloit trailed 3-0 in the fourth before tying the game with three in the fourth before taking the lead for good with four in the fifth.


B.J. Hermsen (3-4) got the win for Beloit, working 6-plus innings and striking out five.


The Snappers host Quad Cities in a three-game series, beginning tonight at Pohlman Field.
