Middleton golfers top Lake Geneva Badger to win Beloit Invitational

Middleton High School’s boys golf team captured its second tournament title this week by winning the Beloit Invitational on Friday.


The Cardinals finished with a 311 total at the Country Club of Beloit to finish five shots ahead of Lake Geneva Badger (316). Janesville Craig (325) was fourth, and Janesville Parker (330) sixth.


Kyle Bruce on Monroe was the medalist, shooting a 2-over par 73. Badger’s Chad Henry was second with a 74.


Craig’s Jordan Gagg finished seventh with a 77, while Parker’s Dustin Richards was 10th with a 78.


The majority of teams competing at Beloit will play in today’s Ashenfelter Invitational at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.
