Janesville Parker High School was held to two hits Monday en route to a 9-0 loss to visiting Beloit Memorial in Big Eight Conference softball.

Only one of the Purple Knights’ runs was earned. The Vikings committed seven errors.

“We had two hits and all those errors,” Parker coach Jenni Seisser said.

Jensen Henke and Erin Muehlenkamp notch the Vikings’ only hits.

Starting pitcher Brianna Shultz held the Vikings in check with four strikeouts, but issued three walks.

“She’s not bad,” Seisser said of the Beloit pitcher. “But we are just not hitting and seeing the ball. She wasn’t throwing anything we had not seen before.”

Parker (2-10, 2-7) plays at 5 p.m. today at Madison West.
