Police: Man not a suspect in burglaries
JANESVILLE A man arrested Friday in Madison in connection with dozens of commercial burglaries is not a suspect in three burglaries under investigation by the Janesville Police Department.
Mark D. Goad, 47, Madison, was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer and violating parole, according to an incident report from the Madison Police Department. Detectives think he could be connected to dozens of burglaries that took place in a span of two years.
Although other news media reported Goad is a suspect in Janesville business break-ins, Janesville Lt. Tim Heirs said Monday that Goad is not a suspect in the local cases.
The burglaries under investigation took place at:
-- Prime Quarter, 1900 Humes Road, on Dec. 18.
-- Little Caesars Pizza, 5 S. Harmony Drive, on Dec. 29.
-- Cozumel Mexican Restaurant, 2900 Deerfield Drive, on Jan. 7.
