State tourism grant supports Wisconsin Aviation Academy events

WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on tourism grant supporting three summer AirFAIRS in Rock County

Department of Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett presented a more than $36,000 Joint Effort Marketing grant to Southern Wisconsin AirFairs officials to promote three weekends of events expected to draw aviation, car, and racing enthusiasts to the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.

The events are expected to draw 25,000 attendees over three Saturday's in August and September. Klett says the resulting economic impact is expected to be more than $700,000.

The three events include, "Wingz & Wheels, August 20, "Dairy AirFAIR", August 27, and "9/11 Memorial", Septemer 10th.
