— The city of Evansville has new agreements with its police department officers and supervisors.

The city council on Tuesday approved a new three-year contract with the Police Supervisory Association, which represents the sergeant and lieutenant positions, City Administrator Dan Wietecha said. The sergeant position is currently vacant.

Major terms of the deal mirror a three-year contract approved late last month with the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, which represents the city's seven full-time and one part-time police officers.

The agreements call for a 1.5 percent employee contribution for retirement in 2012 and a 3 percent employee contribution in 2013, Wietecha said.

The contract calls for no wage increases this year, a 1 percent raise in 2012 and a 1.5 percent raise in 2013, he said.

All full-time city employees already pay 10 percent of their health insurance premiums, which continue under the contracts.
