School board candidate forum set for Monday night

— The Janesville Area Council-PTA and the Janesville League of Women Voters will conduct a "School Board Candidates Forum" at 6:30 p.m. tonight on cable channel 96/993. Viewers can call in via telephone as part of the "JAC-PTA Family Network Program."

The program panel will feature the candidates for the upcoming school board election on April 5: incumbents Bill Sodemann and Kevin Murray and John Burt, Scott Feldt, Fred Shahlapour and Kirk Henry. There are three school board positions to fill.

Teresa M. Arrowood, a member of the Janesville League of Women Voters, will moderate the forum. Community members can call in and ask the candidates questions regarding the issues after their initial presentations. Phone lines will be open for viewers to call in directly with questions or comments at (608) 743-5138.

The program will be re-broadcast at midnight, 3 a.m., 6 a.m., 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on March 9, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25 and 29, on Janesville Cable Channel 96/993.
