WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on unusual find by Van Galder Bus Company workers

RSS

The cleaning crews at Van Galder Bus Company often find abandoned items including wallets, cell phones, and books.

Recently though, they found a black bag containing illegal drugs. Bus company officials say they notice suspicious characters from time to time. They tend to travel between Chicago and Janesville, and back again in the same day. Often they're very possessive about their bags. Sometimes they even look nervous.

Bus company officials say they've been working with police in an effort to both help drug investigators, but also maintain the safest and most comfortable environment for their passengers.

optimism, so your friend drives the "drug dealers" around in the bus and I'm assuming he's never been murdered or hurt right? So wouldn't that indicate to you that just because someone is possessing intoxicants doesn't mean they're dangerous. I'd much rather sit by a guy with a pound weed than a pint of whiskey.

This has gone on for years and the chicago/ minn connection has been ongoing. I am so glad they got this bag as a little less for the streets. They have video on buses see who came on with that bag and post the mug shots someone will know them

I have a good friend who drives for van galder and he says it is obvious he has drug dealers on his route every night. Ever since him telling me that, I will NEVER ride the bus again. How creepy scary!
