Hosts: Rock Aqua Jays, Janesville.
Highlights: It felt good for the team to be back on its home site for the first time in several years, show co-director Dave Rezin said.

“It’s good being back at Traxler Park on the Rock River,” Rezin said. “The home site advantage is obviously a big factor.”

A big win: The Aqua Jays took first in the overall show category with 1,378 points. They also won in the ballet, barefoot and pyramid categories with 257, 273 and 267 points, respectively.

Rezin said it was a big deal for the Aqua Jays’ ballet line to win against the top four ballet lines at last year’s nationals.

“Those girls really have been working hard,” Rezin said.
