The Beloit Snappers have three players in tonight’s Midwest League all-star game at the Quad Cities Bandits’ Modern Woodman Park in Davenport, Iowa.

Snappers first baseman Michael Gonzales, outfielder Daniel Ortiz and right-hander Adrian Salcedo are on the Western Division roster.

Ortiz hit .377 in April and earned the Minnesota Twins Organizational Player of the Month award. Ortiz is hitting .292 and is tied with Gonzales for the team lead in home runs with seven apiece.

Gonzales’ 38 RBIs ranks fifth in the Midwest League and second on the team. Gonzales has hit eight doubles in his 166 at-bats.

Salcedo (5-3, 3.20 ERA) struck out 44 batters through his team-leading 64.2 innings pitched. Salcedo has won his last two starts, including a four-hit, complete game (seven innings) performance against the Clinton LumberKings on June 4.
