Raptors hand Rockets first loss
The Milton Junction Pub Raptors dropped the Neosho Rockets from the unbeaten ranks Sunday afternoon.
Joe Shere pitched a complete game, and Matt Fredricks drove in two runs to lead the Raptors to a 6-3 win in a South Division game of the Rock River League.
Milton (6-3) is tied for third in the South Division, while Neosho (8-1) suffered it first loss.
Shere took a two-hitter into the ninth inning and allowed only four hits. The righthander struck out five and walked two.
Josh Shere had two of Milton’s eight hits, while Tom Scalissi doubled and scored in the seventh for the Raptors’ final run.
Milton hosts Farmington at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Schilberg Park.
