After three games, the Milton High offense still hasn’t figured out Monona Grove starter Bobby Blakely.

Blakely allowed the Red Hawks two runs in the first inning, then shut them down the rest of the way to help give the Silver Eagles a 6-2 victory over the Milton in a regional final Friday.

The Silver Eagles play Janesville Parker High in a sectional opener Tuesday.

Blakely faced Milton three times. The Red Hawks did beat him, 2-1, but the Silver Eagles won 9-2 in addition to Friday’s game.

“He did a good job of staying ahead of the hitters,” Milton coach Steve Heilman said. “He does a good job. He’s not a big kid, but he’s always 0-1 (in the count).”

Monona Grove took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but Milton tied it in the bottom of the inning.

Monona Grove (12-10) then scored twice in the second and once in the third to take control.

Sam McCann had two hits, including a double, for Milton (10-10).
