Loons’ 13-hit attack too much for Beloit Snappers

— The Beloit Snappers were hammered with 13 hits en route to a 10-5 loss Wednesday to the host Great Lakes Loons in Midwest League baseball.

The Loons scored five runs in the eighth inning to seal the victory. Snappers’ reliever Blayne Weller was tagged for four runs on a hit batter, four straight hits and an error. Sam Spangler, Weller’s replacement, walked in the fifth run.


Beloit starter Adrian Salcedo (6-4) allowed five runs on nine hits in five innings to take the loss.
