Brodhead police are investigating a rash of residential burglaries.

Police Chief Tom Moczynski says six occured over five days this week. He says entry was gained through unlocked doors, or by cutting window screens. Moczynski says the burglaries took place in the hours before dawn, and in most cases residents were home and asleep. Police are urging residents to lock their doors and first floor windows, at least at night.

Police would also like to hear about any suspicious activity.
