A debt deal to prevent the U.S. from financial default may only be days away.

As the country teeters on the edge of default over the federal debt, Congressman Paul Ryan of Janesville offers words of encouragement. Ryan says wait a week or so, and you'll find the world has not come to an end. The Republican predicts a compromise will be reached to include spending cuts in exchange for raising the debt ceiling.

The House is expected to pass the current package Tuesday, but Ryan predicts the measure will fail in the Senate.
