Jets take down Chicago Hitmen

— Ross Mauermann scored two goals, and David Jacobson stopped all 23 shots he faced in leading the Janesville Jets to a 4-0 win over the Chicago Hitmen in an NAHL North Division game Friday night at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.

Mauermann, a 2009 Janesville Parker graduate, got the Jets on the board 21 seconds into the second period on assists from Connor McBride and Alex Brooks.


Jacobson, also a 2009 Parker graduate, picked up his eighth shutout win of the season.


Game two of the series is tonight.
