Janesville Parker gymnasts down East/La Follette

Janesville Parker High School, ranked No. 1 in state girls gymnastics, defeated the combined team of Madison East and Madison La Follette, 138.10-114.05, in a Big Eight Conference gymnastics match at Madison on Wednesday night.

Hailey Leisten won the all-around title, while finishing first in the uneven bars and balance beam.

Rylee Jonuska finished first in the vault, while Erika Whitson was first in the floor exercise.

Parker was ranked first in the latest Wisconsin Gymnastics Association poll with a high team score of 143.025. Burlington/Badger/Wilmot is ranked second with a high-team score of 142.875.
