Milton falls in OT, other scores

Milton High School lost 63-59 in overtime to visiting Kettle Moraine in nonconference girls basketball Monday.


The Lasers (8-4) earned a 12-8 advantage in overtime, making 12 of 14 free throws to notch the victory. Kettle Moraine made 23 of 28 free throws overall. Milton (9-3) went 16-for-27 from the line.


Liz Eide scored 10 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter for Milton. The Red Hawks trailed 41-36 after three quarters.


Milton’s Morgan Blumer scored 17 points, including three in the overtime, before fouling out. Kettle Moraine had five players in double figures.

Kristy Bruni scored 11 points to pace Lakeside, which had nine player contribute to the scoring. JoAnne Reuhl scored 15 points for Jefferson (5-8).
