WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on Governor Scott Walker's discussion with leaders of Rock County 5.0

RSS

Governor Scott Walker discussed his economic development initiatives Tuesday morning with the Rock County 5.0 Leadership Team.

The group, meeting at ABC Supply in Beloit, appears to embrace the governor's thoughts on tax breaks for new business, competitive regulatory practices, and a reorganization of the Department of Commerce. Walker also used the visit to dedicate an addition to the "Welcome to Wisconsin" sign along I39/90 in Beloit, announcing "Open for Business".

Rock County may fit into the Governor's job growth plan, since it sits along a border with a state recently announcing tax increases for businesses.
