— A man arrested after a hostage situation in Milton is expected to appear in Rock County Court today on felony charges.

Jordan Sullivan, 25, of 47 Evergreen Drive, Milton, was arrested at 5:21 a.m. Sunday on charges of recklessly endangering safety, taking hostages and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, according to a Milton Police Department news release.

Sullivan remains in the Rock County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

According to Milton police:

Officers went to a home in the 500 block of Greenman Street at 2:11 a.m. Sunday for a report of an armed person who took a man hostage.

Officers heard gunshots while creating a perimeter around the house. They later learned the gunshots came from a 9 mm handgun. Several nearby homes were evacuated for safety.
