Elkhorn High’s boys basketball team wasted no time taking it to Southern Lakes rival Lake Geneva Badger.


The Elks hit the Badgers with a 17-6 first quarter Friday night and went on to a 66-46 victory at Elkhorn.


Kyle Hoskins scored seven of his 16 points in the first quarter for the Elks, who improved to 3-4 in the conference and 5-7 overall. Ryan Bowes led Elkhorn with 18 points.


Colton Andresen scored 11 points, and teammate Will Swanson added 10 for the Badgers (1-10, 1-5).

n Burlington 73, Delavan-Darien 40—The first-place Demons remained undefeated in the Southern Lakes at 7-0 as they dropped the Comets to 0-7.


Travis Crayton scored 15 of his 24 points in the third quarter to lift Burlington to a 23-4 advantage and a 50-27 lead. Teammates Eric Gerber and Gabe Chavarria scored 19 and 11 points, respectively, for the Demons (9-2).


Justin Fowlkes scored 11 points and Marcus Mclin added 10 for the Comets (1-12).

Sturino and Fisher each had four three-point goals. Brent Plantz added 11 points as Waterford went to 5-2 in the Southern Lakes and 6-6 overall. The Wolverines led 16-0 after the first quarter.


Austin Damaschke and Dustin Sjong each had 11 for the Falcons (6-6, 4-3).
