Whitewater women win

— UW-Whitewater rolled past visiting UW-Oshkosh, 65-57, in WIAC women’s basketball Wednesday.

The Warhawks fought to a 34-26 halftime lead and led by 17-points in the second half before withstanding the Titans’ late charge to improve to 5-1 in the league and 13-2 overall. The Titans fall to 3-3 and 8-7.


Dana Thompson finished with 28 points and 14 rebounds, while teammate Chantel Berg added 11 points to spark the Warhawks. Thompson scored 14 points in each half.


Whitewater travels to UW-Eau Claire for a 5 p.m. game Saturday.
