— A Lake Geneva man is accused of sending sexually graphic texts to his late ex-girlfriend's teenage son after the woman's death in September, according to a criminal complaint filed in Walworth County Court.

Richard A. Jensen, 28, of N3090 Robin Road, No. 2, is charged with felony exposing a child to harmful material and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

The complaint accuses Jensen of transmitting five sexual texts to the boy, including two that involved Christmas characters—the Grinch and Santa Claus—involved in sexual activities, according to the complaint.

Jensen lived with the boy and his mother but moved after her death, according to the complaint.

The other sexual texts were a comment on rising gas prices depicted by a stick man and a gasoline nozzle, a sexually aroused man and a cartoon character, according to the complaint.

The texts as outlined in the complaint began Nov. 8 and ended Dec. 9.

The boy talked to Lake Geneva police and showed investigators the content of his phone Dec. 23. On Christmas Eve, Jensen was taken before Walworth County Judge Robert Kennedy on preliminary criminal charges.

Bail was set at $1,000 cash. He remains in jail and is scheduled for an initial court appearance Wednesday before Kennedy.

Each felony count carries a prison term of up to three years and six months and fines of up to $10,000.

The misdemeanor charge carries a jail term of up to 90 days and a maximum fine of $1,000.
