Wisconsin beats Canisius 6-5 in OT

— Craig Smith tied the game with a late goal and Justin Schultz won it in overtime as Wisconsin rallied past Canisius 6-5 in men's college hockey on Saturday.

Schultz scored on the power play with 8 seconds left in overtime, getting an assist from Smith, whose goal at 16:26 of the third had sent the game into overtime.

Schultz and Jake Gardiner had a goal and two assists each for the Badgers (14-7-3). Smith had two assists to go with two goals.

Canisius (6-10-4) took a 5-4 lead on Taylor Law's goal at 15:51 of the third. Law had two goals for the Griffins.

The teams combined to score five goals in the third period.

Canisius goalie Dan Morrison made 47 saves and Brett Bennett stopped 18 shots for Wisconsin, which won Friday's series opener 3-0.
