— Three additional candidates will be on the ballot for Sharon Village Board in April. This brings to six the number of people running for three board seats.

The newcomers are Phillip Nass, 193 Baldwin St.; Joshua Tofel, 102 North St.; and Charles Vandebogert, 109 Pearl St.

The deadline to file for ballot status was extended three days because incumbent Christina Hibl did not file a declaration of noncandidacy and did not file to run for re-election. The extension is required by state law.

Three others filed by the original deadline. They are incumbent Michael Brooke, 126 Pearl St.; Pamela Woodrich, 157 Seymour St., who was appointed recently to serve the term of a member who resigned; and Bob Carlson, 103 E. Stateline Road.
