— Kalisha Keane had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Porsche Poole also scored 12 points, and No. 11 Michigan State overcame a rocky start and beat Wisconsin 62-43 Thursday night for its 12th straight win.

“We didn’t shoot it well and we couldn’t get anything going inside,” said UW coach Lisa Stone. “Credit Michigan State’s defense, they really pressured us outside. We didn’t turn it over, we just took some ill-advised shots”

Brittney Thomas and Klarissa Bell added 10 points each as the balanced Spartans (14-1, 2-0 Big Ten) trailed 20-10, then used a 30-4 run that spanned both halves to win their 15th straight at home and extend the best start in school history.

Alyssa Karel had 16 points for the Badgers (7-8, 2-1), who had beaten the Spartans four straight times.

Lykendra Johnson had 10 of her 12 rebounds and all four of her blocked shots in the first half as Michigan State scored the last 11 points for a 21-20 lead.
