Janesville Craig swimmers conquer Challenge

Janesvile Craig’s boys swim team won the first annual Rock County Challenge on Thursday.


The Cougars finished with 424 points to edge host Milton, which finished with 407. Janesville Parker was third with 287 and Beloit Memorial fourth with 182.


Milton’s Brandon Benson and Parker’s Tommy Dvorak were voted the meet’s most outstanding swimmers. Dvorak won the 50 freestyle in 23.45, and was also on Parker’s winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.


Benson won the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.


Tyler Meinders and Jimmy Loftus won events for the Cougars, while Parker’s Nate Sigmund won the 100 breaststroke.
