Justin Fowlkes attempted to lead Delavan-Darien High School’s boys basketball team in a fourth-quarter rally, but his efforts fell just short against visiting Waterford.

Waterford (4-6, 3-2) built a 35-21 lead by halftime, and then hung on.

Fowlkes had four three-pointers and 14 points overall in the fourth quarter when Delavan-Darien cut the Waterford advantage to four points. The Comets had the ball to get closer, but did not convert, and the Wolverines used free throws to pull away.
