— The visionaries who brought us Beloit's Riverfront redevelopment are now working on the next phase of what they call the City Center project.

Part of that project is the "Turtle Creek Corridor Connections" redevelopment opportunity, an effort to link Beloit and South Beloit and call attention to the area where the Turtle Creek flows into the Rock River. The confluence, according to 2020 spokesman, Jeff Adams, is where the first European settler in the greater Beloit area established a shelter.

The group wants to hear from residents, property owners, business owners and public officials on the long term vision for the project. Two meetings are scheduled for that purpose, January 18th and February 2nd, both at South Beloit High School.
