Cesarz’s late free throw lifts Comets

— University of Nevada Las Vegas recruit Alana Cesarz made one of two free throws in the final seconds to lift Delavan-Darien High School to a 45-44 victory over visiting Stoughton in nonconference girls basketball Monday.

The Comets led 24-18 at the half, but trailed 34-32 after three quarters.


Brianna Bower rebounded Cesarz’s missed free throw and drove the length of the court, but missed the go-ahead lay-up. Bower finished with 18 points, while Cesarz notched a game-high 19 points.
