Wisconsin beats Massachusetts 4-2

— Craig Smith scored a goal and assisted on another as Wisconsin beat Massachusetts 4-2 Friday in a men's college hockey game.

Podge Turnbull, Ryan Little and Jordy Murray added goals for the Badgers (12-7-3). Turnbull also scored in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Minutemen (3-9-3).


Massachusetts' Daniel Hobbs opened the scoring and Chase Langersap closed it. In between, it was all Wisconsin despite being outshot 28-26.


Michael Mersch and Derek Lee had two assists apiece for the Badgers. Scott Gudmanson made 26 saves.


Paul Dainton had nine saves in one period for Massachusetts. He was replaced by Jeff Teglia, who added 13 saves.


The Badgers have won five straight games.
