Memorial makes it eight straight in Big Eight, other scores

Another year, another Big Eight Conference title for the Madison Memorial boys basketball team.


The Spartans clinched a share of their eighth straight conference crown Thursday with a 64-31 win over West.


Tre Burnette scored 22 points and Junior Lamomba added 15 as Memorial improved to 15-2 in the conference with one game remaining Saturday against Madison East. Beloit Memorial finished 15-3 in the Big Eight, giving Memorial a shot at an outright title with a win over East.
