Lack of scoring leads to Janesville Jets loss

— A recent scoring drought continued Thursday night for the Janesville Jets.

Robert Mantha’s unassisted goal at 7:50 of the third period lifted the Michigan Warriors to a 2-1 NAHL win over the Jets at the Janesville Ice Skating Center.

Janesville, which remained in second place in the NAHL North Division, has scored only five goals in its last four games.

Ross Mauermann, a 2009 Janesville Parker graduate, tied the game for Jets with his team-leading 50th point of the season with his 23rd goal at 12:49 of the second period.

David Jacobson made 19 saves in suffering the loss.

Game two of the three-game series is tonight at the Ice Skating Center beginning at 7:30.
