Burlington rolls past Badger, other scores

Burlington remained undefeated in Southern Lakes Conference boys basketball with an easy 77-46 win over host Lake Geneva Badger.


The Demons (12-0 in the SLC, 18-2 overall) took a 28-15 lead in the first quarter. Travis Crayton led Burlington with 22 points, and Eric Gerber had 17 as 11 Demons scored.


Colton Andresen and Jacob Growel led Badger (2-10, 2-18) with 10 points each.

-- Elkhorn 67, Union Grove 57—The Elks built a 49-30 lead after three quarters, but the Broncos refused to go quietly, scoring 27 points in the fourth quarter.


Brennan Johnson scored 15 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter for Union Grove (11-8, 6-5). The Broncos made five of their six three-point baskets in the final frame.


Brock Poggensee scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half for Elkhorn (10-10, 7-5). Ryan Bowes added 13 points and Kyle Hoskins had 11 points for the Elks.

Bryce Hembrook led Delavan-Darien (1-10, 2-16) with 16 points, and Marcus McLin added 11 points.

Chris Nelson had 15 points, and Travis Ketterhagen added 14 for the Panthers (5-7 in the Southern Lakes, 5-13 overall).


Austin Damaschke led all scorers with 30 points for the Falcons (5-7, 8-11).
