Sopkowicz sparks Bucs

Diana Sopkowicz was nearly perfect from the field and finished with 23 points as the Buccaneers defeated visiting Lawrence, 77-55, on Saturday afternoon.


Beloit is 6-10 in the Midwest Conference and 8-13 overall.


Sopkowicz made 11 of 12 field-goal attempts. She also led the Bucs with 12 rebounds.


Kandace Fox added 15 points, and Amanda Moore had 14.


The Vikings are 0-16 in the MWC and 0-21 overall.
