Traverse City shuts out Jets

The Janesville Jets suffered a 4-0 defeat to the host Traverse City North Stars in the first of a three-game NAHL series Friday.

Traverse City hammered Janesville with three goals in the second period. James Albrecht, Eric Rivard and Sean Murphy combined to give Traverse City a 4-0 lead.

Jets goalkeeper David

Jacobson, a Janesville Parker graduate, made 17 saves.

The Jets and North Stars face off at 7 tonight.
