Delavan-Darien falls to Wilmot

Delavan-Darien High School's boys basketball team has been plagued by one poor quarter a game, and that didn't change Thursday.


Wilmot outscored the host Comets 19-4 in the third quarter and went on to post a 75-54 victory in a Southern Lakes Conference game.


Jay Christian scored 20 points, and Ty Singleton added 18 as the Panthers improved to 3-7 in the conference and 3-13 overall.


The Comets trailed, 38-29, at halftime before the Wilmot third quarter took them out of the game. Justin Fowlkes scored 17 points, and Marcus McLin added 13 for the Comets (2-17, 1-10).
